Our commitment to making Nestory accessible to all people, including those with disabilities. Published 18 April 2026.
This statement is published pursuant to the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law 5758-1998 and the Service Accessibility Adjustments Regulations 5773-2013. The applicable technical standard is Israeli Standard IS 5568, which requires conformance with WCAG 2.0, Level AA.
This obligation applies to both the Nestory web application and the iOS and Android mobile apps.
What we’ve implemented
- All form inputs use a minimum font size of 16px — prevents automatic iOS zoom
- Primary color (#2A5C45) against white provides 7:1 contrast ratio — exceeds WCAG AA (4.5:1 required)
- Interactive elements sized at minimum 44×44px on mobile
- Semantic HTML (headings, landmarks, lists, buttons, form labels) throughout
- Correct lang and dir attributes for both English (LTR) and Hebrew (RTL)
- Keyboard navigation through main feed, settings, and navigation menus
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Push notification titles and bodies carry full context without requiring visual context
Known accessibility gaps
We publish our known gaps transparently. Each is on our active remediation roadmap. A full formal audit against IS 5568 is scheduled for Q3 2026.
Some action buttons in the event card menu (confirm, dismiss, more options) lack fully descriptive ARIA labels.
Same as above — action buttons in the feed lack explicit accessibility labels in the Android app.
When a new event appears in the feed via real-time update, the change is not announced via ARIA live regions.
When modals open (Add Event, Edit Event, Reminders), focus may not consistently move to the dialog.
Event category color dots use color as the only distinguishing visual — a non-color indicator (icon or label) should accompany them.
Some decorative icons lack explicit aria-hidden or appropriate alt text.
The Hebrew interface has not been formally tested with Hebrew-language screen reader setups.

Israeli law requires us to name an accessibility coordinator and provide contact details. If you encounter a barrier, please contact us — we are obligated to respond.
Encountered a barrier?
Email us with the subject line “Accessibility Request.” Please describe the barrier, the platform (iOS / Android / web), and the assistive technology you’re using.
We will respond within 10 business days. If we cannot resolve the issue, we will propose an alternative way to access the same content or service.

If you contact us and are not satisfied with our response, or if you believe we have not fulfilled our accessibility obligations under Israeli law, you have the following options:
The Commissioner (נציבות שוויון זכויות לאנשים עם מוגבלות), Ministry of Justice, receives administrative complaints. The Commissioner may issue orders requiring remediation, with daily fines of ₪7,500–₪75,000 for non-compliance.
gov.il — Equal Rights CommissionUnder Section 19a of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, any person may bring a civil claim for up to ₪50,000 in statutory damages without proving actual financial loss. Prior to filing, we ask that you first contact us directly and give us a reasonable opportunity (at least 60 days) to remediate the issue.
Statement Updates
This statement will be reviewed at least every six months. The next scheduled review is 18 October 2026. We will update it as we make progress on the gaps listed above and whenever there are material changes to our accessibility status. A formal audit against IS 5568 is scheduled for Q3 2026.
